Functional Statement

Exercise general supervision and control over the promotion of financial stability and growth of the municipality and foster an effective financial management of the municipality.

  • Collect taxes such as Real Property Taxes, fees and charges, business taxes and other taxes from local sources in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, municipal ordinances and other existing laws.
  • Take charge of the disbursement of all and such other funds the custody of which may be entrusted by law or other competent authority.
  • Take custody of, and exercise proper management of all funds of the Local Government Unit.
  • Maintain and update tax information system of the LGU.
  • Advise the Municipal Mayor, the Sangguniang Bayan and other local government officials regarding the disposition of funds and other matters concerning public finance.
  • Inspect businesses in relation to the implementation of municipal tax ordinances and other provisions stated in the Local Government Code of 1991.
  • Perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or local ordinances.
